Russell Galloway

Graduate Student

Russell Galloway is a part-time student in the Spanish MA program. He works at a classical Christian K-12 school in D.C.'s Southeast, where he teaches Spanish, Logic, and Drama. Russell graduated from Birmingham-Southern College ('18) in Alabama, where he was selected for Phi Beta Kappa and also received the Dorothy C. Ward Scholar award, the Foreign Language Department's achievement award, upon graduation.

Russell has also taken coursework locally through Reformed Theological Seminary. Upon conferral of the MA, he will matriculate to the University of Alabama (Fall 2022) to enroll in a Spanish PhD program, where he aims to develop as a generalist and also specialize in early modern Peninsular literature.

  • The Protestant Reformation in Spain
  • Christological hermeneutics in Spanish literature
  • The Sermon on the Mount
  • Spanish Heritage Language Education in the Southern rural US
  • Judeo-Christian heterodoxy during Spain's Golden Age
  • The Great Books of the Western Canon (and the canonization thereof)
  • Rhetorical Analysis
