Les hablantes de herencia del español y les aprendientes de español como segunda lengua a menudo enfrentan desafíos únicos en las clases de lenguas. Diversas limitaciones en el sistema educativo les obligan a compartir con frecuencia tanto aulas como planes de estudio. Este artículo explora el potencial y las limitaciones del empleo de la inteligencia artificial generativa, en concreto ChatGPT-4, para crear materiales personalizados que aborden estas necesidades específicas. El artículo propone ejemplos prácticos y los analiza desde la pedagogía crítica, al tiempo que ofrece recomendaciones para promover la competencia digital crítica en la enseñanza y aprendizaje de idiomas.
Spanish heritage speakers and second-language learners of Spanish often face unique challenges in their language education. Due to limitations in the educational system, they frequently share classrooms and curricula. This article explores the potential and limitations of using generative artificial intelligence, specifically ChatGPT-4o, to create personalized materials that address these specific needs. Through a critical pedagogy approach, the article presents and analyzes practical examples and offers recommendations to promote critical digital literacy in language teaching and learning.
