Course introduces students to the critical analysis of cultural texts and practices in the Spanish-speaking world, including but not limited to literature, music, art, film, television, comics and digital media. Focuses on the formal properties of texts and practices and situates them in their historical and social contexts. Students will also develop oral, written and research skills in Spanish language to preparation for upper-division courses. Offered by Modern & Classical Languages. Limited to three attempts.
Recommended Prerequisite: SPAN 370 (may be enrolled concurrently) or permission of instructor.
