Dr. Del Barrio de la Rosa will talk about Lexical Availability and Spanish as a Foreign Language. Studies on Lexical Availability provide us with valuable insights in vocabulary teaching planning. This lecture intends to show how this kind of research on vocabulary may contribute in many ways to the teaching / learning of Spanish, as well as increase our knowledge of the organization of the mental lexicon, the storage and retrieving of words and the influence of psycho-social factors, attitudes and motivation on vocabulary learning.
